The Oak Life Journal
Mar | Apr 2022

Dear readers,
The work of an orphanage director or caregiver is too often hidden and under-appreciated.
As we launch our second year at The Oak Life Journal, we are pleased to present a significant and exciting new venture. Each edition will now highlight and honor articles by orphanage workers from around the world—your stories, your lessons, and your hearts.
I do not believe there is any greater encouragement than to hear the testimonies, struggles and triumphs of others. In a sense, though we may be continents apart, we are all working side by side. And your stories and encounters with God can serve to uplift and instruct your brothers and sisters.
Our first such story features Emmanuel Frutos from Chapala, Mexico. He is the director of Love in Action Children’s Home. He has taken the time to share his journey with us, and I hope you find encouragement through his words. It is an honor to give him a platform to speak.
As The Oak Life Journal continues to grow, we want you to be a part of the community. If you work in orphan care, you are our family! You can find our community group on Facebook, called The Orphan Care Collective.
And if you would like to share your story, testimony, or orphan care perspective, we would love to host your voice. You can learn more about writing for The Oak Life Journal by filling out the form below.
Many Blessings,
