Summary:
This course is specially designed for directors of children's homes, primarily for the dissemination and utilization of data results from recent international research on child development outcomes in alternative care.
Students are encouraged to compare their home's structure, policies, staff, and care practices with those proven quality markers that facilitate optimal psychosocial, biological, and emotional development.
Subjects Included:
• Aspects of home administration that directly impact the quality of care and child development outcomes.
• Evaluating administrative practices and identifying areas of lower quality care.
• Formulating solutions to address areas of administration that currently do not use best care practices.
